Our community

Solterra is built around the people who walk through its doors.

The purpose of Solterra is not to spotlight its founders or instructors. It is to create a place where members feel supported, challenged, restored, and connected.

Our team exists to make that experience possible—from the way a class is taught, to the way a member is welcomed, to the care offered through recovery and renewal services.

Why the team matters

A strong team creates a stronger community.

Every role at Solterra is designed to help members feel known, supported, and part of something they want to return to.

People should feel welcomed.

From the first visit forward, Solterra should feel approachable, personal, and easy to settle into.

Members should feel supported.

Clear instruction, thoughtful recommendations, and attentive service help members use the club with confidence.

Wellness should feel shared.

Classes, recovery, events, coffee, retail, and conversation all contribute to a community that grows over time.

How the team supports members

Different roles. One shared experience.

Solterra is designed as a connected club, not a collection of separate services. The team works together so each part of the experience feels coordinated and intentional.

Instructors

Pilates, yoga, aerial, mobility, and recovery-focused instructors who teach clearly, safely, and with awareness of the member in front of them.

Wellness providers

Massage, skin, body, glow, and wellness professionals who provide care that feels personal, polished, and connected to the broader club experience.

Wellness Concierge

The people who welcome members, answer questions, support bookings, coordinate recovery, and help each visit feel effortless.

Events + partnerships

The team members and partners who help create gatherings, collaborations, and experiences beyond the day-to-day club schedule.

Movement leadership

Consistency across every class.

The Lead Instructor helps shape the teaching standard, support the instructor team, and create a class culture that is strong, clear, and welcoming.

Sophie, Lead Instructor at Solterra Wellness Club

Sophie

Instructor development, programming consistency, breath, alignment, and intelligent strength

Sophie helps lead the instructor team and supports a consistent movement experience across The Form Studio and The Flow Studio.

Her teaching style is strong, well-structured, and accessible, with a focus on breath, alignment, precise cueing, and thoughtful progression.

With a background in professional contemporary dance and advanced training in power and vinyasa-based yoga, Sophie brings a refined understanding of control, sequencing, and fluidity.

Her role is not to make Solterra about one instructor. It is to help every instructor teach within a shared standard while still bringing their own strengths and personality to the community.

The standard

What members should feel from the team.

Credentials matter, but the member experience depends just as much on how the team communicates, notices, and follows through.

Confident guidance

Members should understand what to expect and feel supported throughout the experience.

Personal attention

The team should notice the individual, not simply process the appointment or class.

A dependable standard

The Solterra experience should feel coordinated and thoughtful across different visits and services.

Premium without pretense

The club should feel elevated and polished without ever feeling intimidating or impersonal.

The people who started it

Solterra was founded to serve the community it is becoming.

Teresa and Steve Powell, co-founders of Solterra Wellness Club

Teresa + Steve Powell

Teresa and Steve created Solterra after recognizing a need for a more connected wellness experience—one that brings movement, recovery, renewal, coffee, juice, retail, and community together in one place.

Teresa brings the perspective of a longtime Pilates client, a background in real estate and design, and a strong focus on how members experience the space. She is also finalizing her comprehensive Pilates instructor certification, adding a practitioner’s perspective to the way Solterra’s movement experience is being developed.

Steve brings more than 25 years of operational leadership, business ownership, systems development, and execution.

Their role is to build the environment, team, and systems that allow the Solterra community to thrive. The club itself belongs to the members, instructors, providers, partners, and neighbors who bring it to life.
