Before Solterra, Steve owned and operated The Goddard School – Westerville Polaris, leading a team of 30+ educators and building one of the region’s flagship schools before its sale in 2025. His background spans operations, finance, staffing, and real estate development, experience that directly supports Solterra’s buildout, member systems, and day-to-day execution.
At Solterra, Steve focuses on strategic planning, partnerships, operations, and the behind-the-scenes systems that keep the club running smoothly. He works closely with instructors and wellness providers to ensure every offering supports the elevated, community-driven environment Solterra is built to deliver.
Teresa Powell
CEO | Co-Founder
Teresa is the co-founder of Solterra Wellness Club and the driver behind how the club feels from the moment you walk in. After years of taking Pilates across Central Ohio, she saw a consistent gap: strong workouts, but no place to land before class, after class, or in between. Solterra is her answer: an elevated space where movement, recovery, and belonging live together.

Teresa’s background in real estate and design shaped the look and feel of Solterra, and Teresa and Steve’s travels inspired many of the details members experience throughout the club. From soft lime-washed walls to grounding views of the greenspace and a signature scent, every element was chosen to create a calm, natural atmosphere that is easy to settle into.
She also wanted Solterra to support wellness in a more complete way, which is why the club includes an infrared sauna and rotating treatment rooms for esthetics, massage, and nurse practitioner services so members can access thoughtful, results-driven care at every age and stage.
Teresa is completing her Balanced Body Comprehensive Pilates Instructor certification and brings a technical, down-to-earth teaching style focused on strength, control, and confidence. At Solterra, she leads community and member experience with a simple goal: to make Solterra a place you return to, an everyday ritual for strength, stillness, and connection.

Born and raised just outside Washington, DC, Ciara has called Columbus home since 2019, where she and her husband are raising their family. Her relationship with movement deepened after the birth of her son via emergency C-section. During recovery, physical therapy introduced her to Pilates as a way to rebuild core strength and pelvic floor function, and it quickly became more than exercise.
Today, Pilates is Ciara’s “love language.” Known for thoughtful instruction and steady coaching, she creates classes that help clients reconnect to their bodies, build confidence, and move with strength and control. She is honored to serve Solterra’s founding community and guide mindful movement in a space built for both progress and restoration.
